About those sonnets

Sonnets are a specific form of poetry consisting of 14 lines and following a specific meter and rhyme scheme. They were invented in the 13th century in Italy and are related to the musical “sonata”.

Sonnets have delighted poets for centuries because of the formal structure which is nonetheless adaptable for explorations of love, loss, death, nature, and much more.
